COMPARING OUR MEAT

You may have noticed other farms selling their beef based on what’s known as “dressed weight” or “hanging weight”. This is a very common and simple way for farmers to sell their animals especially when selling direct to butchers, restaurants or wholesalers. Although, this way can be confusing for the everyday person. Especially when trying to compare it to your local butcher or supermarket.

When buying based on dressed weight you’re not only paying for the meat but the fat, bones and any moisture that will get lost during the tenderising or aging process. Unfortunately this mean you could lose up 35% or more of the weight your paying for and you won’t know exactly how many kilos of meat your getting until it arrives.

We understand everyone’s lives are complicated enough, so to keep things simple we decided to sell our beef on a set pack price which is based off the per/kg price of the actual meat you will receive. So you know exactly how much it will be, exactly what you’re paying for and you can plan for how you are going to store it and enjoy it.

No deposits, no last minute price jumps, no confusing calculations. Just simply good beef.

For comparison, our dressed weight price for this pack would be $14.67/kg.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

We personally deliver our beef across the Northern Rivers of NSW and South East Queensland twice a month. Our next delivery dates are always located at the top of our website so that you know exactly when your meat is coming before you order. There are no additional fees for delivery as we want to make sure locals always have easy access to delicious Australian beef.

The week your order is due for delivery, you will receive an email with a one hour time window of when we expect to arrive. Our beef will arrive in insulated boxes so if you aren’t going to be home or have to duck out, you can rest assured they will be kept at a safe temperature. If there is somewhere in particular you would like us to leave your order, you can note this down in the additional information section at checkout or by responding to our delivery email.
